Well, I know what I'm going to be doing to psych myself up in bathrooms before auditions. I found this TED talk by Amy Cuddy really fascinating and hopefully I will find it useful too! It's quite long, so if you dont have time, watch from around minutes 7-9 and then on from 15 minutes (ish). It reminds me very strongly of a talk by Logan Marshall Green (Prometheus, The O.C. etc) that I attended last summer. He said the secret of presence is 'faking it'. In fact, I remember him talking about a successful audition saying "I faked it then just as I'm faking it in front of you all right now". Hopefully I can fake myself into real confidence each time I enter an audition room!
